


Jeremy Johnston Owner, Engineer​
Jeremy is a graduate of Cayuga's acclaimed Telecom Program where he received an A.A.S. in Audio Production and quickly began his career in music.
He has since had the opportunity to engineer sessions for New Found Glory, Everlast and Grammy Winning artists; Jose Alvarez and Joanne Shenandoah.
Jeremy has also engineered sessions in New York City at KAS Music, Pie Studios and The Manhattan Center. In addition to music, Jeremy loves making short films, burritos, going to local shows, traveling and creating art.
Ron began his extensive career studying music at Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University, and teaching private percussion lessons. For 25 years Ron taught the best and brightest percussion musicians in the Central New York area, gaining notoriety as one of the regions premiere instructors.
Along with his private lessons, Ron composes and arranges for percussion. Through KDA Productions, Ron edited and mastered audio for 20 years, until founding Subcat Studios.
Ron Keck Owner, Engineer, Teacher​
Jon began his career by studying music with a concentration in audio engineering at Oswego State University. After helping build Oswego's first recording studio and Graduating in 2004, Jon began his career at Evolution Studios in Utica, New York. There, he engineered for acclaimed hip-hop artists such as Mobb Deep and Onyx, while simultaneously teaching music lessons at the Clinton Academy of Performing and Creative Arts. On June 1, 2011, Jon came to Subcat as an engineer, but quickly assumed the role of duplication manager. Although Jon has a new title, he still manages to teach, play, and engineer on a regular basis.

Patrick MacDougall Engineer
Having studied Recording Engineering at the Dick Grove School of Music, and worked at Hilltop Park Corporation, Submersible Music, Solid State Logic, and as an independent engineer, Patrick is now adding Subcat Studios to his long list of credits. His recent projects include: Sarah Brightman, Allen Vizzutti, Joe Walsh, Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, A.R. Rahman, Lucas Films, Paul Allen and the Underthinkers, Renegade Creation, Robben Ford, Superheavy, The Jazz Police, Rey Fresco, Lucas Films, JAYMAY, Billy Morrison, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robbie Robertson, Dana Glover, Ann Wilson, Heart, Debi Nova, Yes, Carina Round, Claudine Kielson, Tom Scott, Have Love Will Travel, DrumCore...



Alec is a graduate of Cayuga’s acclaimed Telecom program where he received an A.A.S. in Audio Production. Throughout school and afterwards he has engineered sessions for Cayuga Records, ADotJ, Lee Terrace, April In Flight, and Nick Mullane, as well as national act Switchfoot.
Alec is also a drummer, pianist and guitarist. A former student of Ron Keck, Alec has been playing drums for the majority of his lifetime; also studying with Kevin Dean and Mike Waite. Aside from playing music and engineering, Alec also enjoys watching SU sports and spending summer days out on the lake, boating.
